Michael has always been one to follow his own vision, his fascination with the eyewear industry was cultivated in his childhood as his father dedicated his 45-year career in the trade. Once he arrived at the University of Miami, his focus in entrepreneurship proved the ideal complement to this upbringing. MJG Trading was born in 2007, and has been growing ever since. Frequently on the move, Michael’s personal life is equally dynamic, filled with active family time with his wife, son and dog in the sunshine whenever possible.
Donald Goodfriend
Executive Vice President
A natural salesman with an easy smile and demeanor, Donald brings a wealth of industry experience to MJG Trading, along with some fatherly guidance for good measure. In his 45 years in the industry, Donald has honed his expertise in all facets of the business, joining the MJG team full time in 2013 upon his retirement from one of the world’s largest eyewear manufacturers. His downtime is anything but, as Donald cycles 60 miles a week and stays busy with his grandson, his wife of over 57 years, and quality time with friends and family.

Mascot
While she brings many skills to the MJG team – boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, adorably wet nose and wagging tail – Sophie’s primary job description is inspiration and stress relief. She takes her role very seriously, creating a more fulfilling work environment daily. While she never really takes time off from these duties, Sophie also enjoys playing with a ball, time outdoors, and all the affection her family can give.
